Pros

A job to pay bills, if your bills equal roughly 2000 a month, and an opportunity to realize that companies truly dont care about your well being

Cons

The hours are absolutely ridiculous. They lie to you about your salary and work you like a dog they can sit back and profit off your hard work then tell you that you arent doing enough. They expect you to do marketing, sales, and cleaning while working second shift hours and not getting compensated for how long you work. You WILL be giving up majority of your daily life to make roughly 12-13 an hour after taxes, based on working 45 hours a week minimum. They will have you tell white lies to people about contract lengths and policies. They will force you to create marketing plans and waste pretty much everyone's time while creating sales goals that are absolutely outrageous for the markets you are in.

Pros

Most of the corporate support is nice and gives you a good foundation of information and tools to use. I absolutely loved my job and our members.

Cons

The pay and benefits (or lack of) were the primary reason I left. There's nothing like opening a location, getting to place where it received awards, commendations, and achieved profitability just to never receive the agreed upon profit-sharing and other components of my compensation package. You pour your heart and soul into a business, live out the values that you preach to and never receive any of the raises or perks that you were promised. Alloy and Anytime Personal Training/Group Training. Anytime signed an agreement with Allow that also made Anytime franchisees sign a lifetime contact to use their programming that was grossly generic, unhelpful, and a waste of time to use. It was took away a trainer and training manager's ability to be creative and make workout fun and effective.

Pros

Set hours, free gym membership. The members were amazing!

Cons

Absolutely horrible culture at AF Deep River. Management micromanages and does not trust their employees. Pay is low. They messed up my direct deposit for 2 weeks. Finally got in touch with HR person and they kept saying it was MY fault. Sent direct deposit email from my bank two times, HR rep finally sent the number she had in the computer to show me that it was my bank's fault, and she had put the account number in wrong! Management changed - had a signed offer letter when I started stating 40 hrs per week with FULL benefits - and they decided to cut my hours to 19 p/week with no benefits stating 'that should have never been included anyway'. I jumped ship at that point. Do no trust this employer. Terrible franchise that does not care about their employees. STAY AWAY
