Have to use personal vehicle. Have to supply tools and machines. Work alone with no help. Terrible pay. Have to get material and supplies with cash, usually out of your pocket until managers have some.
My team was very knowledgeable and were a self sufficient property and asked very little support. We did the best we could with what we had to work with. Manager was supportive and there was opportunity for growth within the company. Commission was a nice perk as well as all company paid trainings as well as the healthcare benefits.
Cons
Pay was not competitive and raises were scarce. Corporate did not take into consideration that some properties were older and not in the best neighborhoods so we had to deal with different problems and situations due to demographics than what would be dealt with in an a newer upscale apartment community.
