Pros

Positive and supportive corporate culture; global talent and community environment; publicly held Fortune 500 Leadership; always changes and pace setting. Great benefits, many opportunities.

Cons

Sometimes the changes were hard to keep up with from a processing point of view, I experienced phenomenal leadership and was exposed to such a diverse payroll across different areas of risk insurance, HR and Benefits BPO, and Global Relocation programs which I realize isn't a con, just points out one needs flexibility to keep up. Sometimes was hard to find work/life balance.

Pros

Great experience with a top surety broker - lots of available international experience to be gained. You are able to work with both contract and commercial accounts who are at the top of their industries.

Cons

There are restrictions and cons to being with any large corporation, but Aon seems to have more than others... There is no flexibility to move positions laterally or up in Aon. Furthermore, there is no system for promotion with any sort of consistency - it is very subjective and those that have lasted the longest despite below average performance are given promotions and raises. When this is brought to the attention of management, they say they are "working on it", but that has been the answer for several years now.

Pros

Laid back, flexible office environment. Admins don't get bonuses like everyone else in the office. Company offers 401K matching.

Cons

Horrible health benefits - you have to pay through the nose to get decent coverage, otherwise you have to settle for a high deductible plan. Not much room for advancement. No pride or ownership of work product - nobody really cares about what they do because the company never acknowledges or rewards it. This place is depressing.
