Pros

Great product and well ahead of the current market in its value proposition. A workplace culture that is hard to beat, and practiced core values that inspire healthy working relationships.

Cons

Apcera has a great product, but in some ways they have a big problem with ineffective leadership on several teams and some communication problems that punishes employees who show initiative. Engineering leadership scrambles to release deliverables on a set date basis, but with understaffed development teams this means little to no testing at crunch time. The CEO is hardly ever present and seemingly checked out. It's hard not to notice long-term staff leaving these past few months.

Pros

One of best container management technology (Better than Docker and Kubernetes). Apcera built its enterprise grade container management system when there was no open source tech in the same field. Good perks, benefits and very transparent culture. Many smart and fun engineers to work with. Lots of room for individual contribution and make your impact on the product and customers.

Cons

Product is way ahead of its market so very slow revenue growth. Sometimes politics makes the management make wrong decisions and costs the company heavily. Employee retention is an issue.
