The students were great The hourly rate is great although the hours are limited.

Cons

Unorganized Professionalism could use some work Quick to discard you Unrealistic in expectations in the very small amount of time Wants you to pay for your own training that is mandatory to continue employment

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that you had a negative experience with our program. We do have high expectations for our employees as we strive to offer a quality program to the students. The mandatory training is paid after successful completion of 30 days of employment. We continue to look for additional ways to provide in-person training to staff through our Area Coordinators and online training and round-tables through our Training Coordinator.

The pay was decent and my coworkers were nice.

Cons

The company itself was very disorganized, the founder lived abroad, my boss lived in DC and only contacted me about once a day, and it seemed like they had no idea how to deal with low-income parents getting after-school financial assistance from the government. They also didn't specify what kind of benefits I would receive, only vaguely hinted at "you get 3 paid days off and we'll pay up to $3000/year of your medical insurance" but that was never confirmed or followed up on.

Working for Apollo this past year has allowed me to tap into new leadership skills in the classroom setting. All materials and training was provided to me which allows me to flourish in this position.

Cons

No benefits provided: Health, Life, Long term (401K, IRA, etc...)

Thank you for your review, we are happy hear that you have been able to enhance your leadership skills through the paid training provided. At this time since our positions are part-time it is not possible to offer paid benefits. As we expand we would like to be able to offer more in the future.
