Pros

I was looking for a part-time job that would not be a boring routine. And you know what? Apollo After School was a perfect fit! The company is really awesome. Managers have my back, trying to help me as much as possible despite my part-time status. They provide a lot of manuals with lesson plans and ask about our suggestions on how to make this after school program great. I remember attending an after school program when I was back in elementary school - I loved it! So now I want kids to have as much fun as I did at my school with all the activities and amazing teachers! Honestly, every day I come to work, I simply enjoy the time with children. Also (for me it’s kind of important), company gave me 5 T-shirts. 5 (five)! For a part-time employee! SO COOL! J I look fresh everyday, which makes me look professional (like a big boss :)), every time I go to work (unlike at my previous job, where I had to wash company T-shirt every day, since was given only one, which was rather annoying). Great pay and I really like that fact that everyone they hire already has experience.

Cons

No work during periods when school is off, but I think there will be a summer camp.

Thank you for your comments. We are extremely proud of our program and know that our staff make it possible. We definitely value our staff and offer a high-level of compensation to attract and retain top-talent that will provide an outstanding program. We try to work with our schools to provide day camps but many factors contribute to whether the program can run, including site availability, student numbers and parent needs. We have implemented new systems, including a level of middle management staff that are able to visit schools on a regular basis.
