Pros
Higher education is due for a shake-up, and while academia prefers theory and tends to keep an arms-length away from real-world practice, Apollo Ed/University of Phoenix seeks to bring both worlds together for the benefit of working adults. If you want to be part of that evolution of higher ed, you might consider Apollo Ed Group. Salary and benefits were standard; training for the position was excellent.
Cons
Apollo Education seemed to have lost interest or appetite for the mission of Workforce Solutions, the group for which I worked. As a result, I can't speak for the salary/benefits currently being offered. If it sounds good to you today, it's a fickle organization and it could change tomorrow, especially given the pressures put on for-profit higher education.
