Pros

Flexible schedule, Compensation, Time-off, Snacks and drinks, Company events, Understanding, Caring, Excited, Teaching, Reassuring, Transparent, Informative, Fun, Open-minded, Embrace changes with ease, Supportive

Cons

The company does not have many challenges that typical software companies go through but to name a few that jump out at me are adjusting to the company's systems, workflow, tight deadlines and hurdling though scope expansions at times.

Pros

A lot of young talent works here. They hire kids fresh out of college. Coworkers are nice.

Cons

Employees are payed very little, even for an entry level job in this industry. Employees are usually let go or fired within a few months to a year of working here, often replaced by newer graduates or interns. Do not expect a career or job stability from this place. Your talent will be used to make games in an impossibly short amount of time, in turn sacrificing quality. It's a shame because this place had potential.

We take the feedback provided by former employees very seriously. We'd also be the first to acknowledge that when these reviews were written in the summer of 2013 there were a lot of issues we as a management team needed to address. At the time we were a young company experiencing it's first growing pains. We had a vision that our team initially bought into but we failed to deliver the stability, environment, and growth they were looking for. Since that summer we took there feedback and set out on a deliberate and comprehensive plan to turn things around. Some of the changes were: 1) Increase management-employee feedback and communication with quarterly performance reviews. 2) Increase group feedback opportunities with weekly team meetings each Monday morning where we can brainstorm ways to improve company operations, culture, and anything really. 3) Put in place standard 1-5% performance based raises every 6 months based on performance review grades. 4) Added a Sr. Developer and Sr. Designer position to give our increasingly experienced and talented Jr. team members a clear promotion path to grow within the company. 5) Started monthly company sponsored events for team building outside of the work environment. For instance trips to see the latest Captain America movie or go fishing at the nearby Brooklyn Piers. One of our biggest regrets is that the core of our original team from 2012/2013 left with a feeling that we didn't appreciate them because that was never the case. We've always felt our team was the most critical component of our company's success, we just failed to deliver what they wanted and we certainly recognize that. If they ever come back and read this I hope they're glad to see we've learned from our mistakes and know that we wish them the best in their future endeavors.
