Pros
I have been working at AppCard for almost 3 years. It is a company I really love being a part of, my co-workers are great and the work to fun ratio is very well balanced. When I started I thought that it would be a unique opportunity to learn and grow quickly, I was right. I have watched the company move through many cycles of growth and been close enough to it to really understand how companies move. in my experience, I have had the opportunity to work on a number of higher and higher level projects and efforts, allowing me to get senior experience in a short period of time. While being part of a startup (dont know if you could call appcard a start up anymore) is difficult, it is worth the time and stress for the experience and the reward. When we win the whole company celebrates, thats the kind of environment I like being a part of. As the company matures my fear is that it will lose that passion. For now the company is fun place to work, the people are great, and management is transparent about where we are and where we are going, which helps when you are having a tough week. I will say i personally would like to hear more from C-level, but for the most part we are given a very clear view of what we are working towards.
Cons
Choice of federal holidays off might need to be reviewed again. Office snacks use to be voted on, now the culture congress decides, not fan of some of the choices.
