I haven't been at AppCard for too long, but my time here has been great. I came from another company in the advertising space, a pretty big company, and the difference is night and day. AppCard is just past the start up phase, but the whole company is really involved in making the company successful, I dont really know how to describe it. I want to say it is like being on a treadmill where you are constantly moving and no one stops running toward the goal, but I think that that is not the right way to put it, because unlike a treadmill you are getting somewhere and there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I guess I would liken it more to a marathon, where you have a goal and everyone around you is cheering you on and pushing you to succeed but it is a lot of work and without their support you would never make it. I joined the company at the tail end of working with SMBs, very shortly after, the company really began focusing on Franchises and Grocery stores, I was actually here during the acquisition of another company in the grocery industry, which was really exciting to be a part, I have never been at a company when it bought another company, pretty cool. Since then, it feels like a huge family, teams work together from start to finish on accounts, sales people actually help with communication with clients and cross pollinate skill sets, I am learning how to sell as many times franchises continue to grow and we need to keep onboarding new locations. I even get to work some wioth our tech team as we are told that we can solve anything for our customers and to always figure out a solution, this is probably my favorite part as I knew nothing about development before i came here, not that i am learning to code, but i am getting to see how the process works. Our CEO is great, although I dont know how he does it, but he is out of the office visiting clients all the time. We get face time with him and the other executives pretty frequently as they like to hold meetings for any new things that they are planning to roll out. Company is a lot of wrok, but the support system and common goal is what makes this a good place me.

AppCard is filled with really smart people. I have been here for just about 2 years, first job out of college and love it. It is incredibly fun to be a part of this company, the technology that we sell is both amazing and frightening, kind of feel like the beginning of Skynet, we track what people purchase at their favorite stores and then allow businesses to use the data to send personalized recommendations and marketing content. Recently the company released a new neural network that actually learns and predicts behavior patterns with scary accuracy. The running joke in office is that this is the type of tech that will make the world dumb as no one will need to think anymore, not sure if thats a joke or serious though. Anyway, really cool and fun stuff to be around. I read a few of these reviews, and dont really feel the same way, my manager keeps me informed and my team informed, and the snacks are great, who doesn't like LaCroix soda??? As far as work load, I am in Account Management and there is a ton of work, we have thousands of customers which can be overwhelming, most of the time you can get everything done 9-5, but on occasion you have a late night if a customer needs help. Most challenging part is getting customers to hold their appointments, we schedule times to review data and they do not show, then you have a gaping hole in your schedule which is easily filled for sure, but then the customer wants to reschedule and wants it rescheduled the second they are ready, can be frustrating. Company is growing year over year so far and the new tech releases should be interesting, ride the tiger baby!
