      Great place to start with no experience

      Pros

      Flexible schedule. Learn how to serve and "up sell". Lot of fun and made great friends and relationships that will last a lifetime. Used to be a great atmosphere. Cash in hand every night.

      Cons

      Have to work nights and weekends. Management plays favorites. Attracts lower end clientele. Management made promises they couldn't keep. Cheap food for cheap people. Fire senior cooks to bring in new cooks at a lower cost.

      Pros

      Meet a lot of ppl daily Cash on hand at the end of the day make a little more than minmun wage I used to get all the hours I wanted due to them liking me, but could almost never get the days off I wanted due to not having enough hostesses. You get cash on hand the next day, epescially if it were a good day/night. That's probably about it.

      Cons

      managemant is very harsh and allows favortisim sometimes pay isn't worth all the physical work breaks were pretty much nonexistent You're on your feet all shift , breaks for hostesses are nonexistent. Sometimes yelled at by servers for no apparent reason. Hostess make less than minimun wage plus tip share.

      Pros

      Salary was good for the industry. Worked many years for a great Area director. Until regions were switched.

      Cons

      Leadership team that lacks the understanding to run sit down restaurants, squeezing profit out of the buildings at the expense of guest service, unrealistic budgets, creates core values (employer of choice) yet has no meaningful action to make this reality, HR is biased and associates with staff outside of business, constant changes to leadership, leadership came from another restaurant and has moved most original staff out to hire friends from last restaurant franchise (TGIF), high accountability with no support, concerned with looking good instead of being good. (Don't work for TSFR AppleVenture).
