- For most projects work hours would be 12 -9 PM - Good compensation - Laptop - Managers can enjoy work life, since they deal often with smart/hard working developers - Work from home option and flexible timings were quite attractive earlier like in some top product companies but now they are restricted on reason based and advance notice - Few chances to work with good managers who are encouraging and focus on work completion instead of being military disciplined/micro-managing - Pure Microsoft Technologies oriented

Cons

- Poor HR management - Accounts team tougher than Income Tax people. Employee can quickly become frustrated enough to give up savings and instead opt to pay full tax! - Evolving policies to be more constrained and restricted, taking away earlier flexibilities - New projects are less - Don't dream working always on latest technologies - You can find hardly "Best from MS" factor often HRs discuss before joining - You will be no better than before after working with those typical PMs/Leads - Flat structure, less growth opportunities - Be cautious on the credibility for work you do - Never understand why/how few leads are offered role to wrong steer good devs, often killing team's morale - People managers are hard to find

Pros

They invest heavily in their employees, provide a wonderful culture. Management is great. Everyone I have dealt with in the company from HR to Help desk, to the president are wonderful professionals.

Cons

It's really hard to find one, although if I had to it would be this - with so many bright, talented world-class people working for the company, it can make a person feel insecure in their own knowledge and talents.

Solid Company with Strong Technical Team and Involved Management

Pros

Some of the sharpest technical folks in the industry - frequently relied upon by Microsoft product teams for assistance and advice. Successful recruiting and marketing staff able to recruit strong talent and find long-term projects.

Cons

Sometimes projects are too long - although management is willing to shift staff to other teams when possible.
