Good work-life balance. As long as you take care of the company, the company will take care of you

Cons

Not exactly core-software work for Software Engineers. It's a different industry, meant for different kind of people

Pros

As student it is good opportunity to work in large company. My team leaders take in account that I'm a student and I have flexible timetable, so that you can combine study and work. Applied Materials is multi-disciplinary company, so if you work as mechanical engineer you will work in a parallel with software, electrical, application and other engineers.

Cons

Semiconductors field is closed market, so if you choose to switch a job to another company, most likely it will be competitors, clients or providers. In other fields this company name say absolutely nothing, despite the fact that it has 14000 employees.
