Pros

A high-tech company with great engineering positions. Interesting and always changing field. The company has a matrix organisation and lateral moves are possible.

Cons

Many management layers and work can get very bureaucratic. Internal processes are cumbersome and engineers do not have engineering services to help them with internal doc control.

If you perform well, you have lots of latitude on how you do your work. Lots of opportunities to try different work approaches. Pays well, good bonuses. No micromanaging.

Cons

Top-down decisions made with little regard for how it affects the line. Very volatile - lots of reorganizations and layoffs. Very competitive environment. Sometimes coworkers feel like competition.
