      1). Applied Materials has a very good record of solid employment in Austin. 2). Applied Materials supports schools like Manor, etc. in the Austin area. 3). Applied Materials shows an interest in future jobs like solar.

      Great people to work with, accelerate within the industry with great OJT and hands on training

      Cons

      Too much favoritism, get skipped for promotions and raises constantly. The management will destroy your moral, if you are not within the "inner circles" the people on the inside get special tasks, promotions, raises, and highest percentage bonuses. This place is good to get your foot in to the door. Once you feel you have learned enough go elsewhere where you will be valued better, and treated fairly because of your work ethic, and job performance, and not because you buy someone beer and take them out to dinner
