Good Product, Bad Company

Pros

The best thing about this job was learning about the product. It is actually a well made product that provides a solution to a legitimate need. There are a few good people. Mainly in the phone room and a few of the salesmen. The commission is good, but that doesn't matter if you can't even make a sale(Which most don't).

Cons

EVERYTHING ELSE. They are desperate for people and have a ridiculously high turnover for their sales staff. Most sales organizations do, but this is especially bad. I mean the success rate here is worse than MLM. The training and sales process is HORRIBLE. They use high pressure sales tactics. The sales manager has no idea how to lead people. She tells the sales people "If it's not a sale and you aren't getting kicked out of the home, you haven't done your job." Management is Money Hungry to a fault and do NOT believe in putting the customer first. They train you to use deceptive practices to close sales. You will have to memorize an hour long script and be prepared to be in people's houses, pressuring them for hours. You can be paid well if you can sell at this company, but will you be able to live with yourself after? Ask yourself why most of the sales people who have made great money here STILL left the company.

Pros

will hire any warm body, they don't even interview you, just sell their system and ask when you can start.

Cons

as a rookie they gave me their worst leads, offering a $25 gift certificate to Home Depot and the clients were not interested AT ALL in a water treatment system, much less one that costs $6890.00 or $175 for 5 yrs. I got paid $300 salary for a 50 hr. work wk. including Saturdays. It was slave labor .
