Very little room for promotion or advancement if you are not related to one of the senior staff members Summer student jobs are filled with almost exclusively kids of the management

Discrimination against their OWN employees!

Provide a very good service to the public in general, locations are first class and well maintained, long heritage in communities

Cons

As an employee, I have experienced the absolutely most humiliating reverse discrimination imaginable. If you are caucasian you will get left overs and have a completely different set of rules to go by. If you are asian, you will make 250,000 per year and work three days a week. Caucasians are NOT ALLOWED to deal with asians, Only asians can sell asians, that is the rule. If you are caucasian be prepared to be treated like a second class citizen, absolutely unbelievable in the 21st century.

Cons

The pay is terrible and not at all what they state it will be. It is all commission and people don't spend what they used on funeral expenses. The leads are terrible and you end up cold calling people. So much of this company is wrong - funerals should be treated with more respect. Instead you are taking on a job that is not much different than trying to get a person to buy a cell phone plan.
