People will say it's good for experience, and it is good to learn the ins and outs of aircraft.
Cons
If you aren't part of the "in crowd" with management they will push you right out the door. People with tenure are protected despite being completely incompetent, dangerous, or bullies to peers and direct reports. Discrimination is rampant and diversity in management in nearly non-existent. You cannot complain about being treated poorly in your department or you will get treated so badly you will want to quit.
