      Pros

      Very interesting and dynamic niche within the oil and gas services industry. Archrock is by far and away the industry leader, and is working very hard to keep it that way.

      Cons

      With dynamism comes new challenges relatively frequently, but they continue to be great learning experiences for continuous improvement.

      Pros

      Navigating through the downturn in the oil and gas market has been a challenge, with that comes tough decisions. Even though decisions were impactful to our workforce, the executive leadership team were as open and honest with employees as possible. For me, I value the honesty in my leaders.

      Cons

      The company is a busy place, we are not heavily weighted in staff. Lots of room for development. For me, I enjoy the opportunity to learn and grow in my career.

      Pros

      Friendly co-workers, No micromanaged work requirements, opportunities for travel and genuinely being able to help people who need the technical assistance. Taking Support Desk calls (4 hours shifts) is actually a good thing, as it increases your knowledge base.

      Cons

      No real room for advancement/promotion, unless you work at the Houston (Greenspoint) offices. Not a great deal of feedback/communication from Supervisors regarding progress, other than pre-scheduled requirements (mid-year review, etc.) With current oil/gas recession, massive cutbacks to staffing, bonuses and raises, as well as equipment shortages, etc. Ticket tracking system is archaic and clumsy.
