Pros

The people you work with and the culture.

Cons

If you enjoy making 150 cold calls a day and being told our rates suck then this is the job for you. Management is horrible. They do not care about their employees. Not every rep has an equal chance to succeed. It’s all politics. If the company likes you they will give you carriers in your name, if not Goodluck. Your best bet is waiting for someone to quit on your team and getting their carriers. AE reps can basically do whatever they want, meanwhile carrier reps are micromanaged for performance. Commish structure has changed. You will have to double your book of business to make only half of what you made before. Company is making changes to reduce pay to eventually go public and sell. Rules are made up on the fly. Long hours 7-5. It’s a job, not a career.

Pros

I can’t think of one pro in 2023

Cons

Too many cons to count. Company had a very solid WFH policy. They completely just went back on it. It’s like they hate us. It’s crazy…. Run away from this company fast. The days of making money and having a good time are over. They will hire anybody that’s willing to make calls for them. Don’t waste your time with this company.

Terrible leadership

Pros

None, they are terrible at training. The leadership is terrible and when asked questions don't know the answer. They make mistakes and blame it on anyone but themselves. People are managers who shouldn't be.

Cons

They are terrible at training. The leadership is terrible and when asked questions don't know the answer. They make mistakes and blame it on anyone but themselves. People are managers who shouldn't be. Lazy, unmotivated "leaders" that hires and fires constantly and never looks in the mirror. If your constantly having to fire people, maybe you and your managers/team leads aren't doing their job.
