Cons

Basic salary could be better paid. If we are the best engineering consultancy why don't we get paid to be so?

Pros

This is a company that takes good care of the employees. I have experience with many of the senior staff taking their time to help and develop the younger engineers technically. A diverse office with engineers from many nationalities. Arup gives good opportunities to develop technically and personally.

Cons

Not many, but the salaries are perhaps lower than what other competitors tend to offer for the junior staff member - though this shouldnt matter much in the beginning of the career.

A global firm, so you get to work on projects from all over the world. Also means there are opportunities to work in other offices, given sufficient experience. Great location and work place culture is pretty good.

Cons

During peak season the work days are long and work-life balance is not easy to maintain. Fortunately there are slow periods.
