Pros

- Allows remote work for some positions. - Offers employer matched retirement savings up to a certain percentage. - You can pick up overtime, overtime is rarely required/given. If you miss time from work, you may work overtime to offset PTO used. - No working on holidays and weekends!

Cons

- Low pay: Aspirus is well known for not wanting to pay employees what they're worth or for their experience. - Lack of Communication, or Poor Communication: Many times things change and those changes are not passed along to staff prior to mistakes being made, or are not reflected in guidelines until some time later. - Any time missed for being sick MUST be taken from your PTO, you do not accrue any sick time. The amount of PTO you receive is based off off years of service in 5 year inrements (e.g. 1-5years- 6 hours per pay period, 6-10 years- 6.5 hours per pay period, etc.). PTO time for holidays is included into your accrual rate. - Micromanagenent: They actively implement and automate ways to micromanage staff (literally down to the second). Company and department policies do not match, and department policies supercede company policies. Example: Company policy allows a 7-minute grace period before or after your punch time to be considered an "on time" punch. Department policy may state one second past punch time is late/unacceptable and subject to corrective action, up to termination (in my department, corrective actions fall off your record after 12 months). If there is an issue, it is seldom brought to your attention for correction, before a write up.

Pros

Decent support, some flexibility, control over who you are willing to see.

Cons

Micromanaging, wage is a joke, having to use PTO for holidays, not flexible with sick time or emergencies (gets counted against you)
