Pros

The company has a customer first approach. The sales approach is based on an interview with the customer to find the appropriate products and services for their needs. The Executive team seems to care about their emoloyees all the way down to the teller line. The pay is ok and the benefits are better than most.

Cons

The goals are unclear and seem to change quite often. Some branches have a great team atmosphere, while others don't. Mid management has a "what are you doing for me" mentality instead of leading from the front.

Pros

I have worked at Associated Bank for over 15 years, having started as an intern in college. I have been given multiple opportunities to take on new opportunities in different areas of the organization, and assist with special projects that resulted in meaningful changes to the organization. These movements coupled with other development opportunities allowed me to grow quite significantly as a professional. With as much time as people spend at work, it is important to have a community of individuals whom you enjoy working with - in general, I love the people I work with and we have a great time.

Cons

The company is based in WI, but primary footprint also includes MN and IL; the company also has several remote locations in surrounding states. The geographic positioning allows branch colleagues to relocate branches if they move across the footprint which is great. Similarly, corporate support colleagues have flexibility in relocation but to a smaller extent which is a downside - support positions tend to be in Green Bay, Milwaukee, Stevens Point, and Chicago.
