Pros

They offer a great benefits package and spend an adequate time training their employees

Cons

Typical call center. You are not truly valued as an employee. They tend to treat you like a cookie on the conveyor belt. If you do not meet specification, ie have a life outside of the job, then they toss you. There is a lot of talk about promoting you after a year but it sounds rather lofty and difficult to attain anything other then baby steps and meager increases in pay unless you are in sales.

Pros

- Work from home. Do I need to say more? - Pay is competitive for *most* states. They hire in so many states and areas with different levels of minimum and average wage, but what we save on commuting makes it worth it in our situation. - You can easily go from entry to leadership in a year - I did it. - Hard work and effort matters more than tenure. - Voluntary time off is not forced on you, but offered. - Overtime is not forced on you, but offered. - Six weeks of paid training and very smooth transitioning process from training to joining your team. - Technology changes constantly, so it's hard to feel 'bored' with what you do. You're constantly learning how to deal with new products and new policies. - Shift bids come out periodically, but your assigned shift is posted with enough time in advance for you to trade hours with others if you need certain hours off. - Lots of PTO. - Rewarding, but firm attendance policy. - Health benefits including medical, dental, life insurance, and 401Ks. - You get good and bad leaders with every company, and it is true for Asurion as well, but unlike other places I've worked they send out upward feedback surveys every quarter asking for feedback on the supervisors. It's an awesome way to have the supervisors informed by their managers that they still need to grow in certain areas. - A very good incentive program that can earn you over an extra $1000 a month. Which is on top of normal pay and benefits. - They have fun competitions and challenges every month that can earn rewards points, gifts cards, and other fun prizes.

Cons

- Things can change quickly and sometimes feel overwhelming. - Not always knowledgeable leaders guiding you. - HR can seem miles away and hard to reach. - Customer's can be very frustrating. - Stats and quality grading on your performance can seem impossible sometimes. - Work-life balance can be very difficult. The work environment has to have no distractions (family, pets, phones) and if your office is in your bedroom, you begin to feel like you're always at work. - You can easily make friends at work, but you may never see them outside of cyberspace - we are scattered all over 46-48 states (some states have laws preventing work at home in that area). - Regardless what you see in the advertisements about this job there are sales involved.

Pros

-Decent salary. -Good benefits - insurance (health, dental, vision, life), decent vacation time -Stability

Cons

No room for advancement in the Kansas City office. All jobs are pretty much moving to Nashville. Top management is focused on Stanford/Ivy League graduates. A lot of office politics and gossip.
