I feel like a robot

Pros

Great benefits. PTO. Holiday pay. 401K Contribution.

Cons

Very hard to get a day off unless requested months beforehand. Impossible to get a holiday off even if you have PTO available. No sick days. Very controlling feeling under pressure under every single call. You pretty much have to be a robot without sounding like one. Asurion also says they don’t tolerate racism but if a customer acts racists forwards you, you will be fired for hanging up on them for using any sort of abusive language. They make so many claim procedures extremely difficult for customers and don’t give us the easy-fix solutions or tools to resolve issues, instead we have to calm the customer down. Asurion also has an annoying tendency to treat everyone like little kids to make the work environment more “fun”. Systems run slow but they expect us to work fast. CST deals with escalated callers but want us to finish fast when clearly you can’t calm an angry customer down in just 4-6 minutes. ITS UNPREDICTABLE !

Pros

The ONLY pro is schedule flexibility

Cons

Terrible management, they're all clueless starting from the "coach" level. They will coach you on how to lie to customers for a sale. The only thing ASURION cares about is more money, at any cost. Customers hate their replacements because they're always poor quality devices but some how we still see reviews from customers who "love" the products. No advancement other than "acting coach" or a coach (watch out now, once they don't need you as a coach, back to taking calls with a pay downgrade). They claim to be the leaders of technology but can't correct platform issues (going on 3 years with the same platform issues, yet they had time to start up sales and other projects). They also can't seem to get proper stat reporting (which is how you get paid). They're great at hyping things up to hide the truth. Awful place. They love new talent because those new employees are easier to convince. Before you apply remember this place is ALWAYS hiring for a reason.

Pros

Great Pay. Benefits are good.

Cons

You are just a number to this company. You are required to hit multiple metrics which some are out of your control. You are required to shove the app down the customers throat. Quality scores from Verizon are based on how they feel that day. It's very subjective. Even coaches don't understand how quality rates calls. If you get a bad survey because the customer presses the wrong number it is still counted against you. This job is beyond stressful.
