Don't believe the hype

Pros

Work is available, if you want it. Starting pay is reasonable. Supervisors are cool.

Cons

Asurion is probably one of the most overrated places to work for, ever. It's great (apparently) if you don't get stuck in a call center job, but if you do, you're screwed. 99% of the people working in the call center are miserable. I go home feeling suicidal. It's that bad. Though they say you can promote, you're probably not going to unless you know the right people. It's a glorified good ol' boys network, and people outside the call center don't even know you exist and will look down on you. If you do work in the call center, Asurion owns you. Your every move is monitored, you can't write things down, you can use your mobile device, and if you need go to the bathroom, it counts against your schedule adherence. You get 30 minutes for lunch, good luck with that. Need a day off? Expect to hear about it. Sick? Too bad, get to work. Don't work here, just don't. You'll hate yourself. Asurion does not care.

Pros

For the Las Vegas area, the pay for a supervisor was decent

Cons

For leadership, new ideas are not welcome even though they preach like it is. Personal growth is non existent. As an external tenured supervisor, I wanted to be developed and prepared for a manager role but if one is not one of the favorite supervisors or the top performing supervisor, then you will be overlooked and it will be concluded that you don't know how to lead a team.
