Pros

Good benefits, work at home, you earn lots of PTO, although it's very difficult to get time off approved to use it. My teammates/co-workers were wonderful! There were major changes with the AT&T buyout of Directv, although none are positive for the employees. I did learn a lot about tech support and satellite systems that I was able to take with me into my next job. I loved it when I started over two years ago. But things went way downhill in the past year or so.

Cons

The company has a skewed picture of what motivates an employee. Metrics are metrics and the employee is nothing more than their metrics to the company. The reason behind the numbers, whether they be good or bad numbers, is entirely insignificant to the company. There is a LOT of stress put on the employees at all levels and a LOT of unhappy employees there now. Instead of being interested in bettering themselves, they have an if you don't like it you can leave mentality... so I left after two years of dedication to this company.

Pros

Good pay for a "phone job". Good benefits, Flexibility of schedule with VTO and OT that you can request through an app in the comfort of your home. Opportunity to earn a fairly substantial monthly bonus based on your performance. There is opportunity for advancement, as they are growing rapidly. Management fairly responsive for such a large organization.

Cons

You are just a butt in a seat. While there is opportunity for advancement, there is only one path forward as not all job classes exist at every site. You are dealing with people angry at you that their phone does not work, even though you did not have anything to do with that and they probably did. Lots of training, but not a lot of morale boosting going on. The job is hard. If you are thick skinned you will do well. If not, it might be a bit of a struggle.
