      Friendly work environment. Competent Management

      Cons

      Typical claims job. Intimidating workload, mediocre compensation and benefits. Poor raises and tiny bonuses. Tedious work with demanding customers. Carrier partners are unresponsive and dismissive. Agents and MGAs are sometimes abusive. Near impossible to take a week off without repercussions. No comradery as most employees are remote and never meet. Antiquated claims system.

      Friendly environment that has a work-life balance culture. Leadership listens to its employees. The HR onboarding process is second to none.

      Compared to other TPA's, there really are no cons.

      Pros

      Athens standards proves to be family oriented making all employees feel welcomed and appreciated and not just another person filling a desk. They have a lot of incentives to encourage settlements and closures which is also a bonus of doing a great job.

      Cons

      There is no education reimbursement program for non-workers' compensation classes. Also, the opportunity for division manager positions are far and few between.

      Thank you for your review. We do have education reimbursement for non-WC courses, just depending on what it is so be sure to check with your manager or HR for more information. With ongoing growth at Athens, there will continue to be more Division Claims Manager opportunities. Be sure to check with your manager on how to be ready for that next step. Thanks again!
