Don't Trust Them

Pros

Working for Syntel is in reality working a contracting job but they do pay you for holidays and vacation. They want you to think of it as a perm position, but when the contract is over so is your job.

Cons

I submitted the same expense report every month for parking for the same amount and the same place. Every month they would say they didn't receive it or question it. If you are not from India they make no effort to find you a new position when your current contract ends. I found them to be very dishonest.

Good on papers . . . Missed in practise

Pros

Good to start your career with. Good Exposure to different technologies. If you happened to get into a good team and good rapport with your seniors (PL/PM) then ample opportuniites will be given. Nice pay packages for lateral employees, especially from branded organisation.

Cons

Once hired the package freezes Senior Management is very good at making paper commitments. When it comes to delivering the goods, they are hopeless.

Pros

If you are starting your career. Learn new tool and technologies and get paid. Hard working ppl in proj delevary side technically shound team.

Cons

Worst management ever. Last week americna express and syntel relationship manager came to houston location and called us all Monkeys and Donkeys, Also he openely admitted that the hardest working ppl wil be screwed in annual reviews twice or thrice and if you still stick with company then you will get a raise. Well this guy is companys motivational SPEAKER !!! God save'em ,Well that did it and I put my resignation the same day.
