Pros

Atria rewards parties, free lunch, benefits, family like work environment, caring for the residents

Cons

Management is new and the primary reason I am leaving. High management turnover Also understaffing of care staff even when families are complaining. There is no clear cut regs or handbooks for documents needed for state snd company wide audits.

Pros

good management training offered by corporate offices, big bonuses paid to upper management if you keep all apartments full at any cost! Company does allow management to cut deals with potential residents to ensure elderly move into Atria, and then I am able to raise rents 6 months later to ensure my building makes a big bonus! I made lots of money working at Atria. Census really is KING AT ATRIA!

Cons

Company cares very little for residents unless they can pay rent. Employees get PTO but rarely get to actually take time off. As the executive director of a community, I was actually ordered to return from a family vacation to go back to work.

Pros

Great residents. Good bonus package for hourly staff.

Cons

Poor management. Too much expected from only nurse in community. No support from corporate office. I worked there for a year and did not see a nurse from corporate for about six months, because there was such a turn over in that position. Nurse blamed for other people's mistakes and others not held accountable. Management turn over at this community was excessive. Of the eight director positions there were 18 different changes in just a year. Very unsettling for residents, staff and families. One director had no experience and thought that she needed to be the center of attention, very needy.
