Pros

- Most coworkers are very willing to teach and help you grow - Lots of opportunity to learn new skills

Cons

- Not much growth or movement; many employees stay put (good for them, not for you as a newb) - Don't expect to make money in this job, unless you are high up on the ladder

Pros

They have a nice studio and the perks of working in radio are nice...such as free concerts, and access to tickets. However, the good old days of getting free tickets to shows and amusement parks is gone. They are required to list them on your taxes so you have to pay tax on everything you receive.

Cons

Lack of Loyalty-I worked there for almost 10 years...then received a phone call that I was being let go. YES, a phone call. I had worked over time the week before while others were on vacation...then when I was on vacation, I received a phone call that my position was being eliminated. They also do not promote from within. They prefer to hire away from the competition as this was the case with our marketing director. The marketing coordinator had been there for years and was overlooked for a promotion, and the position was filled with someone from outside. Change in management constantly- During my time there, I had 5 different managers and 3 different Vice Presidents above me. Every one of them had been let go all of a sudden.
