Pros
Benefits that I had for all of 5 minutes
Cons
You couldn’t tell where the local sales manager began and the general manager ended. Both came from a bigger market and treated a mid level market like it was LA. Got treated like a 20 year vet as somebody who had 0 sales experience. Was given written and verbal warnings for not selling enough when I had less than 3 months of being an employee. No patience, no room to grow. Training sucked. Outside of watching some training videos, we spent more time doing mock presentations to management acting as a lead/client than going out and making money, creating relationships with leads and building a book of business. Not only did I have to compete with other local stations, but I had to compete with people in my own building on rates. Sales manager had a crush on one of the sales people and gave them reduced rates on prime day parts. Constant fear of not doing enough and created a strain on my work life balance. I could never relax and enjoy my time when I got off work.
