      Unreasonable Direction and a Stagnant Atmosphere

      Pros

      The pay is the only reasonable aspect here.

      Cons

      - The people in charge are consistently unreasonable in both expectations and behavior. - Most leaders are unapproachable, acting rude and openly dismissive toward employees. - Support is routinely neglected, leaving staff without guidance or development. - Growth opportunities are minimal because no effort is made to cultivate talent. - The overall atmosphere feels stagnant and uninspired due to a complete lack of initiative from those at the top.

      Though I no longer work there, I had a positive experience at Audax and would repeat my decision to join the company

      Pros

      - One of the only PE firms to hire directly from undergrad. 1st year is hard work, but better lifestyle than I-Banks and more meaningful / interesting work. Opportunity to be promoted directly to post-MBA positions - Greater responsibility at junior levels than at the large cap PE firms. No hard line between pre-MBA and post-MBA (partner track) employees - Emphasis on people development through both formal and informal mentorship. Formal reviews are every 6 months, but people are willing to give feedback between reviews - Generally good group of people who are friends both inside and outside the office - Free market staffing model allows some flexibility on picking who to work with and what type of deals to work on - Exit opportunities to top B-Schools or top PE firms

      Cons

      - Very granular portfolio reporting (do weekly tracking and reporting of weekly sales metrics) - Chase every deal mentality - Limited opportunity for promotion at senior levels

      There aren't any benefits to working here. TRUST ME.

      Cons

      Audax Group is essentially a glorified sweatshop. Employees are working long hours, are paid terrible wages, and are treated like garbage by management. Trust me when I say you do NOT want to be here.
