The culture of Audible is really great. I think if the culture was not that good, no one would stay actually.

Cons

Unbelievable layers across most functions, it is crazy given their number of employees. Systems are hardly integrated together, automation for HR processes is a must

Amazon compensation, free food and good people

Cons

Management is the worst I have ever seen in a company of this scale. Leadership is untouchable/unsupportive and out of sync with issues on the ground. I've seen the company go backwards on all the things it used to believe in from activate caring to inclusivity. Lately a lot of shady decision making has been happening with back-office teams that Amazon is not aware of. Audible has been unable to grow for 3 years straight now and has been blind to internal and external competition brewing, leading to them being in a very defensive position now. This is causing a lot of stress on the already broken systems and processes across the company that now have to support unachievable targets and I do not see it getting any better in the future.
