Pros
Everyone who I witnessed seemed to really like working for this company! When you have a shared enthusiasm for your line of your work, people will definitely be able to work better as a team! Audible seems like the type of company who understands that their workers should have a balance in their work and personal life. They provide Table Tennis tables for their employees to take a break and relax. The company offers snack to keep their employees full and happy. Don't worry - there's also a free in-house gym membership for those that are concerned about the LB's. Best of all, I agree with the CEO's vision to have his company located in Newark, New Jersey. I believe this is the beginning of a new renaissance in Newark and soon this city will be up and coming like Jersey City, NJ and Hoboken, NJ. If more Tech Oriented Companies (like Audible and Panasonic) make the move to Newark, NJ then I can only see greater things coming in the future! Best of luck to Audible and all their employees!
Cons
I have yet to discover any Cons at this company. Perhaps some of the other reviews who have years of working at Audible may help someone decide whether to apply to this company or not. The only cons I witnessed are reading peoples reviews about the location which I see nothing wrong with. So what if it isn't trendy New York or up and coming Hoboken, NJ? Newark is definitely on the rise! And its right next to a major Transportation Hub so you are literally across the street and 25 minutes away from Penn. Station New York (34th Street) if you must go to the city. The Downtown area of Newark is very safe and well monitored as there are colleges, museums and hospitals nearby. With time, I'm sure the city will be revitalized and experience a new renaissance and more companies will hopefully move-in. Audible, Panasonic, Prudential Financial and the NJ Devils have been the Pioneers. Hopefully these are signs of more to come!
