Pros

It was a great learning experience. Working with great teachers and learning classroom management skills and working with students. Helping out students has its rewards. Being able to monitor teachers working in the classroom had some really valuable experience if you plan to be a teacher.

Cons

Scheduled hours were broken up with a large gap in the middle. Some students were difficult to manage. There were times when I didn't have a space to tutor students which did create conflicts.

Pros

If you're a new teacher, there can be some effective, useful PD.

Cons

After 9 years, insignificant raises, increases in benefits premiums, and growing responsibilities make teaching less of a joy and more of a hassle.
