One on one direct care with toddlers where you can see how your efforts directly affect the person

Cons

Extremely unorganized. There were days where i was told the center was closed 5 minutes before the start of my shift. I lived 40 minutes. There were times were you’d be assigned up to 3 kids to session at the same time which was nearly impossible.

your fellow RBT’s will be the greatest people you’ll ever meet.

Cons

The pay is garbage, staff in HR are so shallow and think they’re making up for the lack in pay they offer (biweekly, by the way!) by doing once a month “breakfast” or pizza which you can really only enjoy either 30 seconds before your client comes in or squeeze it into the 15-20 minute break you get. The job itself is very rewarding, the children almost make it worth it. But it’s so mentally and emotionally taxing that it’s unbelievable that you only get paid 14-15 an hour.
