Pros

They do a good job getting Behavioral Therapists started with great support, training, and room to grow.

Cons

Once you get past being a behavioral therapist and try to move up in the company that’s when the support stops. They lose respect for you and don’t care about your hours or increasing your pay even though you are doing 10x the work.

Thank you for your candid feedback. We agree working as a Behavior Technician is a great way to get started in the field of ABA! Especially if you’re majoring in areas like Psychology and Child Development, this could be a perfect position as many of our clients are looking for part-time hours. Thank you also for highlighting our training. We put a lot of time and resources into our training. We want our employees to feel confident and prepared when going into their sessions. We truly thrive on career progression for all of our employees across the country. We encourage it in a variety of ways including tuition discounts for continued education, excellent mentorship programs, annual reviews, pay reviews twice a year for Behavior Technicians, and advancement opportunities. It’s very common at ALP for BTs interested in progressing in the ABA field to step into bigger roles such as Field Trainers and Program Managers. (Congrats on your amazing progress, by the way!). Advancement beyond those roles may require additional education/certification, but we’re happy to help provide support to help you achieve those goals. If this is something you’re interested in, we encourage you to reach out to your Clinical Director to talk about how to get that process started. Please know we value your time and the important work you accomplish here at ALP. Thank you again for sharing your honest feedback.

Thank you for supporting our families and we appreciate you recognizing our awesome Supervisors! We’re sorry to hear about your major surgery and while we can’t address the circumstances around your specific situation here, we remain dedicated to helping our employees achieve work/life balance, by offering flexible scheduling, night and weekend hours, and both full- and part-time positions. We know we can’t accomplish our mission if not for dedicated Behavior Technicians like yourself so when personal situations require stepping away from work, we understand and want to support you. We wish you all the best in your future roles.
