Pros

You do have the chance to work with a child with autism which is very rewarding. Other than that, not other pros.

Cons

I only worked for this company for a month before I realized my worth. Must you even read anymore? If you're not convinced not to work here, I'll explain further. Do not fall for the fact that they have walk in interviews and seem like a good company! DO NOT work here unless you want to be miserable. First of all, training is long and seems like it never ends. They cancel trainings left and right and do not care if you had to change your entire schedule just to go to a training. For example, I had a training scheduled at 9:00 am, and they emailed me at 5:00 am that same day to let me know it was cancelled! If I didn't check my email, I would have woken up early and driven an hour to attend a training that was cancelled last minute. Also, they have limited cities that training is available in, so you will most likely have to drive a great amount to attend multiple trainings (RIP car mileage). Another time they canceled training and didn't even notify me!!! (Get the picture here). They throw you into a home with a child with autism before you finish training and before you have a good understanding of what you will need to do. There is not a supervisor there with you, so you will no idea if you are doing anything right or wrong. Let's not forget the fact that you will probably be paired up with a family that treats your horribly and you have to suck it up and deal with it because ALP could really care less about your own mental health! Must I go on? They do not care for the available time you provided for them and will schedule you at any time. How many times do you need to tell someone you are not available on Tuesdays??! And if you still decide to work for this company, well then... Good Luck Charlie!
