Pros

I get great feed back from my clinical Director, she's always quick to help and respond when I am in need of help or just have a question about certain programs. She makes sure my needs are tended to with my cases and ensure my supervisors are helping me out to the best of their abilities. The company is very flexible with my schedule and very understanding.

Cons

-there is sometimes mis communication between supervisors and scheduling. -When school is not in session hours are depleted until school starts up again.

Pros

Thoroughly enjoyed working with every family I've worked with as well as the employees. You are able to dive into actual work directly while being trained. Great on-site job training. Even though you're often working independently, you maintain constant communication with other DSPs, clinical supervisors, and HR. You go from part-time to full-time in a very short period. You at least get $5 Starbucks gift card after leaving.

Cons

You're assigned 1 to 3 location on a daily basis, which may lead to huge traveling expenses that outweigh your given salary. Even though you're given mileage reimbursement, it may not be enough. You're assign different locations that maybe scattered within a 20 mile radius of your location. Recommend to college students (who are currently in school) who needs the experience.

Pros

Company used to be known as Children's Learning Connection and now is part of Autism Learning Partners. Management tries to support, they do have trainings which help DSP's and company is good about listening to their employee's. Company tries, management tries, everyone is trying. Good heart behind company culture.

Cons

PAY, PAY and PAY! DSP's only get paid $10 per hour for trainings and not their full pay, why dock pay by $5.00 for training? Isn't our time valuable as well? If my hourly rate is $15.00 and I am having to drive to your branch office for training and don't receive mileage reimbursement because it is not 22 miles exactly, and only getting $10.00 per hour for training, after driving and miles it equates to about $6.00 an hour after the fact. It would also be great to have for more support when you begin your first week of sessions with the kid's we serve, to have someone be there at least on 1'st session. Management seems over worked and stressed, but they try. Please consider having funding for toy's, games, etc. for sessions. I know I spent at least $40.00 of my own money for sessions. Overall the company has good intentions, but DSP's need more support, more tools/toy's to use in session and better pay.
