Pros

Easy to land a job and they train you

Cons

They said there would be the opportunity for full-time hours and this was never true. The most I ever got was 15 hours/week. It seems like they are constantly hiring so that no one gets close to those full-time hours and, thus, benefits. I was also RBT-ed, which requires lots of studying and passing a difficult test, and it DID NOT raise my rate AT ALL, which doesn't make any sense as it seemed that they didn't RBT people often at all. Because few people are RBT-ed, when I quit my job, my poor kids didn't have a BT to work with them because their insurances required someone who was a RBT (and ALP had no one available to replace me with those kids). So these kids, who have a BT for the purpose of constant reinforcement, are left without a replacement technician. Sometimes supervisors will step in but not on a daily basis. I don't understand how ALP could ethically let this happen.

Pros

There are various growth opportunities! People are nice!

Cons

Sometimes one has to drive in a different direction, and for a one-hour session, one has to spend more than two hours driving and stuck in traffic.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We understand driving can be a tedious part of this job, but we make sure that all of our Behavior Technicians are paid for their drive time and mileage reimbursement. We recently increased the mileage reimbursement to account for increased gas prices! Thank you for being a part of the ALP family for two years!
