Cons

Pros

As far as a retailer goes, Autozone is different in that we a re empowered to help a customer. No matter what! We are able to come up with our own solutions to excellent customer service. Just do not ask for more labor hours.

Cons

Secure company that will bury you in work and throw you a shovel. Then expect you to pull yourself out of someone else's mess. You do learn a lot though.

Pros

Checks don't bounce, 20% discount on some things, free ASE testing it's a job in an area where there are none.

Cons

No raises/promotions unless you are one of the DM's/RM's buddies, upper managment will treat you like cattle, they lie to your face and when you catch them in it they make your life miserable, they steal from employess by refusing to pay overtime, they force employees to buy their own uniforms even though they don't pay enough for employees to do so,(they call it a "dress code" not a uniform)they cut already tight payrolls at the end of every quarter to artificialy inflate the stock price regardless of the work load or customer service levels, pay level and benefits are not up to industry standards(I've almost been fired twice for even mentioning that) Benefit costs are incredibly overpriced ( I pay over $600 per month for mine) judged only by the amount of add on sales (called wittdjr/checkout challenge) not by sales or customer service or employee retention, a report for EVERYTHING and I do mean EVERYTHING ! they even have a report about reports, endless tasks that are often contradictory(like doing the same planogram 4 times in 2 weeks) terrible training (or none at all) threaten your job on a DAILY basis if you disagree with anything your DM says. Micro managing at it's finest. Managers have no authority to do anything but are held accountable for everything.
