Pros

My Coworkers are nice, 20% discount is ok

Cons

Cons.. hmm where do i Begin? I work commercial (driving, delivering parts, dealing with pissed off shops/mechanics) and i also work behind the counter. New gps tracking in our vehicles so we wont go over the posted speed limit but com. Manager still tells us to hurry and deliver as quickly as possible. I get to deal with irate mechanics who blame me for wring parts or for taking to long (as if i am the one Took their order or as if they were the only person to deliver to on my route) then i also get customers who just dont understand anything about their own cars. Or women who get sent in By their husbands with a big list of items and dont know jack about what they're buying. I feel bad for them. also ibget to redo our shelves and move parts around for no reason. Almost seems like busy work. Oh and we get a serious talk for not pushing extra items onto the customer! If the customer wanted said parts they would have asked! Sale items are.always at the checkout anyways! Oh and if you are part time you wont get more than 25 hours. At least not at my store. The DM would rather hire anothrr part timer and give them more hours rather than give current employees more hours. Oh and expect a 10 cent raise per year. What a joke. Also DM and Store manger like to keep only 2 employees behind the counter to deal with a hordes of customers and phones ringing. And then wonder why the customers are pissed off at the wait Time. We run around like chickens without our heads. Lol.

Pros

The biggest pro is the flexibility. They are helpful in getting you the time off you need. I will say though it depends on your managers. See con's. I am in a store that a majority of the people have been there 3+ years. This is not common. For our store we are like a family. The employee discount is nice and every quarter they do an additional discount weekend.

Cons

My biggest con is the higher management. Depending on who it is can be awful. Two stores close to mine has huge turn over rates because the managers are terrible. They don't get rid of people or demote people that they should. I was lied to for months. I was promised a promotion that I never got.

Pros

The ONLY pro of working for AutoZone, for me, is I able able to actually assist customers with my knowledge of cars and give them hope that not all AutoZoners, are not complete knuckle dragging idiots.

Cons

Pay is a joke Management as far as I have met is full of self-centered, micro-managing morons Obsessed with selling tons of crap that is not even necessary and hounding employees to do so without incentive Hours are not consistent Promotions are constantly promised and almost never given (I am the enigma) Mindless and repetitive It is infested through and through with extremely stupid people who know little to nothing about cars. Its quite pathetic Turn over rate is extremely high due to how poorly the company is run and structured
