Bad management, favorites, connections matter, every autozone store has different management with different styles of managing. It would be better if they were all relaxed and some stores are more knowledgeable while others aren't which is definitely a con(I'll elaborate in the "Advice for management" section). In the Roseville AutoZone on Foothills and Junction you will meet a manager named Ed. It won't always be pleasant but I try, lol. There was a previous manager named Terressa(She transferred, thank God!) that sold me an illegal carb/smog cold air intake for my 2015 Scion FRS. Found that out at a nearby smog shop unfortunately. She couldn't own up to it. She refused to refund it even though I was an employee. I asked the manager Ed and he said it was up to her and she gave me the run around. So I called up the district manager and was refunded store credit instantly. It should've been refunded to my account but no worries I guess, better than nothing. I didn't like being called to work when it wasn't agreed on in the interview prior to making my schedule. I also didn't like working extra hours that weren't agreed on in my interview with manager Terressa. As for "moving up in the ranks" its not possible unless you love to kiss upper management a** or stay there for 15 years to be promoted to "manager" with an increase pay of like $2.30 then wait for another 15-25 years. The OReillys on Foothills Blvd, Roseville is byfar better. The AutoZone in Rocklin is byfar better. Also don't call out sick or else manager Terressa will resent you and your car, lol. Feels bad man.
