The usual pros/cons of a bigger company

Pros

Competitive salaries, training programs, benefits (sabbaticals, on-site gym, dogs at the office if you work in San Rafael and you're into that), etc. Also a fair amount of telecommuting / work from home options depending on the group you're in. Lots of very smart people. Great place to learn how a channel-driven business model works.

Cons

Hard to move up......as often happens at larger companies, the only way to get ahead is to leave - very difficult to get promoted from within. Also typical of larger companies is that decisions take a long time to get made and not always clear how/who is making the decision.

Good Company to work for

Pros

Salary is competitive. Good people who clearly like what they do. Benefits are excellent. Progressive company with some brilliant people.

Cons

Work/Life Balance is not as good as it could be. Too many layoffs if you are not in California. As such people tend to "horde" information to make themselves look good and justify their position.

Pros

- Good Pay Package - Employee Benefits are more - Work with newer technologies

Cons

- Communication Gaps between US and Other regional offices - Very less involvement of Managers (it may be because of their technical background) - If you are self motivated then this is the place to work
