Pros

Dominant player in the fast moving RPA space

Cons

1. Amateurish product management organization - The people running the product management group at the company are clueless. They dont have an elementary understanding of how RPA works or the toolset which RPA developers need to automate processes. There is no product vision and the A2019 flagship product is a patchwork of features stolen from competitors such as UIPath. 2. Pathetic engineering - The guys running the show in engineering consider themselves no lesser mortals than Steve Jobs. However, their skillset is highly questionable. No wonder A2019 is loaded more with bugs rather than features. 3. Unethical HR practices - While the HR taking sides in inter-departmental politics is not new, HR @ Automation Anywhere is aspiring to be an independent self serving power center. The cronies who are closer to global HR head have kept their jobs. However, the not so pliable ones, irrespective of how talented they are have been ruthlessly weeded out.

You make some very inflammatory remarks under the cover of anonymity. To say that A2019 is based on a competitor's product is completely false. Your assessment of the Engineering and Product Management leadership is an opinion you are entitled to however, is not proven by the facts. I'm genuinely sorry you lost your job and that you feel it was ruthlessly handled.

Pros

- Good salary, shares - IPO probably still coming? - Flexible working hours - Strong marketing team (at least WAS in the past..) - Amazing engineering team - Solid product offering, focus on product - Awesome people (but most gone by now)

Cons

- Lack of transparency, even upper management unable to determine how the company is actually doing - Terrible HR team - no personal development initiatives or training, unpaid parental leave, and horrendous communications around redundancies (PPT??? really???) - Lack of empathy, understanding - Poor work-life balance caused mainly by growing targets, despite mass redundancies - Bad CMO - replacing fantastic people with ex colleagues from Ring Central without first getting to know the old team (or at least reviewing their performance ) - Horrendous COO / founder - speaking down to people common - Heavy pressure on the Sales team, who can only do so much - Nepotism

Pros

Great product, market leader, very fast growth

Cons

Fast growth and high turnover, AA is hiring FAST. They ended up hiring some micro managers, bullies, arrogant individuals, impossible to work with them. Very bad atmosphere, no work-life balance, they simply don’t care....and if you raise the flag after being bullied, you are out!

Please accept our apologies for not being the type of company you had hoped for. We care very much about culture and ethics and have put mechanisms in place to find out when and where those two issues are compromised.
