Complete Disaster!!!

Pros

-Interesting market -Some good people to work with.

Cons

-Nepotism - all founders seem to be related (obvious about the husband & wife - who apparently runs seating) -Casteism, harassment, discrimination and verbal abuse from the top, specifically from one of the co-founders and CFO. I've given several instances to HR and of course no action ever taken. -CEO has no backbone and clearly unable to discipline his staff or even take control of them. -I've been on a number of customer calls hearing about what the product can do knowing it's unable. It's like fraudulent selling. -Lies from top, especially about the potential stock price value. Shame on us for even thinking it would ever become a reality.... -Poor leadership at so many levels. -The list can go on, on, on!

Founders don't empower

Pros

interesting and growing space with limited window for growth

Cons

Founders do NOT empower employees. Bullying continues from the sales team and this behavior is accepted, perhaps even encouraged by the CEO.

Co-Founders Get in the Way

Pros

Salary is generally competitive and bonus on paper is good. Not too much red tape to tackle problems given the size of the company.

Cons

-The company has long outgrown the co-founders who are in over their heads. They would rather cherry pick metrics that sound great but aren't reflective of performance (e.g. non-GAAP profitability). They rely on metrics that are meant more as quick litmus tests but are used instead as internal KPI's beyond the intended usefulness of the metrics, obsessing over achieving arbitrary benchmarks vs delivering overall results. They hire executives with IPO/large company experience but then ignore their advice, hence the revolving cast of executives. -Bonus consistently doesn't pay out at 100%. -RSU's are worthless without an exit in sight -No 401K match -They chase feel good accolades, both with time and money, to make themselves look great (e.g. best workplace, best [insert exec title], social impact donations, etc) while neglecting to focus on advancing the company's operational excellence and products.
