I just wasted the last year of my life working at this company. The constant gaslighting and huge bureaucracy was stifling. I was incredibly bored here. The CEO sends out emails telling everyone about how he looks up to Steve Jobs but "can't tell anyone their baby is ugly" - which in reality means that constructive criticism is not allowed and punished. The management apparatus has zero spine, and wants a "self organizing company" - which means there are hundreds of committee meetings that all dead-end with no decision made. Nothing ever gets done. I was told that they tried to refactor some stuff once and the engineers were told that they couldn't make their changes because Mel didn't like that the system "didn't work like the apps on the iPhone" - even though they make an industrial robotics system, not an iPhone. Company has zero diversity (not a surprise for Utah) and feels like they are stuck in 70's corporate America. Pay sucks for a company that just got a huge funding round and is flush with cash.

No clear direction, requirements are often vague or contradictory, a lot of small company politics in not a good way. Each person I have spoken to from the CEO on down is reasonable and has good ideas but as a whole there is a lot of directions each person wants to move without clear concensus or separation of responsibilities. The code is old and also a mess. Not clean in design or implmentation. Lots of unhandled exceptions and poor code quality.
