      Great place to be making great products

      Pros

      + The senior leadership really cares about the employees, the products, and the direction of the company. (Thanks Mel!) + Interesting work where I can really get my engineering hands on building useful products and solutions. + Competitive pay and excellent benefits + Smallish but growing company. (About 200 employees now). More stability than a startup, but small enough that your voice can still be heard. (I came from 10 yrs with an organization of 1000+ people)

      Cons

      - Sometimes the projects have lots of people wanting to go competing directions. Some growing pains. Thankfully this is mostly above my pay-grade.

      The benefits of ASI are awesome, and my teammates are really hard workers who really want to help me succeed in my job.

      Cons

      The pay is average, but the benefits really make up for it.

      Such Potential, Numerous Challenges, Not Yet There, Disappointed

      Pros

      ** Ask lots of questions when interviewing and pay attention to the gut-feel, not what is presented by ASI ** + Very Cool projects - hack a Tesla, Dump Truck Robots, Tractor Robots, etc. + Good resume builder and foot-in-the-door to the Robotics industry + Decent co-workers (area-dominate religion is a heavy influence) + Beautiful (but remote) work location + Decent Benefits (Company-paid Health insurance, HSA Contrib, PTO)

      Cons

      - Salary is bottom 25% regionally (per Glassdoor & personal experience) - Management struggles with focus and commitment - Myopic project vison and execution - Inconsistent policies / policy enforcement - Challenges with poor quality, over-promise/under-deliver, missed targets - Unclear career paths and very limited opportunity for advancement - Minimal training provided / Non-Obvious 'tribal knowledge' is the norm - Single product [Mobius]; All else is gov-funded research / in-development - So-So Agile/Scrum house - Still working to understand basic Scrum concepts - Sub-Par Benefits compared to industry (401k, No Sick leave, limited PTO)

      Thanks for the suggestions and advice to our management team. ASI works hard to be compliant, competitive, and a place people want to work. It's unfortunate that you didn't feel that way.
