      Losing talented people due to politics and poor decisions.

      Pros

      It is a good place to start your career. Many of the employees within IT have been knowledgeable and fierce, and managers closest to these levels have been excellent and responsive.

      Cons

      There is an resounding lack of leadership at AutoTrader from mid-level through the higher echelons. Decision-making processes can take years, which leaves the company often behind the times. There are no incentives for hard-working employees to do well when politics drive how yearly evaluations are graded. Red tape and CYA get in the way of completing work almost daily.

      Pros

      The pay is decent if you can deal with the abuse. They also provide many community relations opportunities, which is really nice.

      Cons

      Horrible leadership & culture, Boys Club, Dishonesty, Discriminatory practices, Heavily political, Micromanagement, Human resource corruption, Extremely unprofessional and uneducated employees, No communication.

      Exceptional individual contributors, often lousy leadership at director and above.

      Pros

      Salaries are good. Many of the contributors are really excellent. Great place to launch your career, definitely needs the help from skilled people at the management level! The company is growing and has a good market position. You can connect to different Cox companies from here.

      Cons

      Leadership thinks they communicate, but they don't. Things recently have gotten more closed at senior levels even though there is an "open door policy". Some people have gone from OK to toxic.
